Wow, last week was a busy one as we listed two houses, wrote a contract for a buyer, and gave a dynamic listing presentation on a fabulous home that we feel really good about getting. Sellers are really wanting, no, demanding would be a better word, aggressive agents who can market the property correctly to the right type of buyers. We seem to be having great success with clients who had previously listed with other agents, only to have them sit on the market and not sell. Once we get meet with them and show not only our marketing presentation but the referral letters from past clients, well, you really can't ask for more. Sellers, or potential sellers out there, let me be the first to tell you that putting a sign in the yard and listing the home in the MLS systems IS NOT enough to get you a contract. As I have said in earlier posts, not only is it an agent's job to effectively market your property, it is also our job, especially in this market, to educate the client. How can you make the best, most informed decision about the biggest financial asset you will ever have if you are not educated? And an agent who is so lazy that they "market" your property with a sign and the MLS will not be able to educate you to the degree that you need.
Last week was busy and this one is shaping up to be also. That's good and we hope it continues. Maybe we'll have the chance to work with you soon!
The next post will be about our meeting with a stager and getting her tips on staging a wonderful new property in Oakleigh subdivision in Powder Springs. Big house with lots of potential! I will keep you "posted!"
